AITEX
and CENTEXBEL have signed the first
ever licence agreement drawn up for
a European Technology Centre, enabling
CENTEXBEL to issue the “Made in
Green” Certificate in Belgium,
Holland and Luxembourg.
Centexbel, the leading
Science and Technology Research Centre
for the Belgian textile industry, was
founded in 1950 by the Belgian Textile
Federation, FEBELTEX.
Its mission is to
promote research and technological development
in order to enhance the profitability,
quality and production of the Belgian
textile industry, seeking to provide
specific solutions and contributing
towards innovation in terms of products,
services and production processes.
It has several fully
equipped specialist laboratories which
are authorised to analyse and certify
products. These laboratories offer an
extensive range of textile analyses
and support the R&D activities of
Centexbel as well as the Belgian textile
industry as a whole.
CENTEXBEL works with
around 900 Belgian companies and employs
120 people.
In addition to private research, Centexbel
is actively involved in collective research
programmes financed by regional, federal
and European authorities.
Finally, Centexbel
offers a number of advantages and exciting
opportunities, access to scientific
information and real technology, research
projects, help applying for innovation
funding and grants... therefore any
Belgian company can implement the very
latest technology, adapting themselves
in order to meet current demands.
